Season of mellow fruitfulness

Summer is over and life is about to get busier – let magical rose oil help you stay cool, calm and collected

As summer draws to a close, it is worth remembering that rose oil has remarkable depression busting properties as well as having the ability to boost self esteem, inner strength and confidence.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, sad or anxious (especially if you are caught up in the rush to get children ready to return to school) then try adding some drops of rose essential oil to a diffuser or directly to your bathwater. It’s even gentle enough to be rubbed into the temples or the back of the neck or simply sniffed whenever you feel in need of a sweet scented boost.

Rose & Aloe Vera Gel

Rose & Aloe Vera Gel 50ml

Although daily exposure to moderate sunshine is medically proven to have beneficial effects on both body and soul, it is still vital that everyone uses adequate protection against the more harmful effects of the sun.

A good sunscreen is of course essential but it’s also important to ensure that your skin is kept moisturised in order to be at its healthiest and happiest best.

Our Rose and Aloe Gel has a refreshing, light weight but highly effective formula that gently calms, nourishes and hydrates all complexions and promotes a fresh, youthful glow. It’s great all year round but particularly useful in the summer – especially if your sun cream has let you down and your skin is in desperate need of the soothing touch of aloe vera.

Shea Butter Works Miracles

While beautiful roses form the basis for all of our formulations, we also love to use other fine quality ingredients as well, including richly moisturising shea butter, which is an all round miracle worker for the skin. Sourced directly from Ghana, our shea butter is extracted from the nuts of the shea tree before being processed.

We use it in our deliciously scented Rose Day Cream, Rose Night Cream and Rose Hand Cream as it is extremely gentle, wonderfully moisturising and also absorbs quickly into the skin. Besides its fabulous cosmetic properties, shea butter is also proven to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti fungal and antibacterial powers, which makes it extra perfect for skincare, especially if you have sensitive skin that is prone to redness or breakouts, while its known ability to boost collagen production and promote cell regeneration is a boon if you’re concerned about the signs of ageing.
